Hi,

I am Shamila, a Sri Lankan lady, 32 years of age and I own Shamila's chalets. I have two which were built with the help of my English husband John in 2006 at the rear of our property here in Negombo Sri Lanka. These chalets built specifically for foreign tourist to rent when visiting Sri Lanka.

The chalets are approximately 15 / 20 minutes drive from the main international airport and 7 / 8 minutes from both beach and Negombo town centre.

Five star Luxury & Service

  • Each chalet comprises a lounge, bedroom and bathroom.
  • Each unit sleeps three or four people depending on age, in a double and single bed.
  • The chalets are fully furnished with new modern furniture and equipped with satellite tv, dvd's + films, internet usage (Please ask for details.) & tea / coffee making facilities.
  • There is also a daily maid service. Bed linen, towels and toiletries are all provided too free of charge.
  • A baby cot and chair are available at no extra charge for young children.
  • We can also offer a baby sitting service at local rates by experienced staff if you wish to enjoy a quiet dinner alone. (Please ask for details.)
  • I will also meet and greet you at the airport upon arrival at no additional cost other than the taxi fare. I will also accompany you to the airport upon departure. (All at local and not tourist rates.)
  • There is also a hair & beauty salon on site offering a wide range of treatments to ladies, from hair cutting to facials and waxing. Residents enjoy a 50% discount off all salon treatments.

  • Chalets are located in a safe and secure residential area of Negombo. You will enjoy 24 hour security & service.
  • The chalets are approximately 15 / 20 minutes drive from the main international airport and 7 / 8 minutes from both beach and Negombo town centre.
  • You will not be troubled here by time share salesmen, beach traders or anyone else.
  • Whilst there are no cooking facilities on site we do provide free tea and coffee in the chalet and can provide breakfast and dinner if you don't wish to eat out.
  • This is a small family business built on solid honest service and clean hygenic accomodation. 30% of our clientele return for two or more years. We have many client references available from the USA in the West to Australia in the East. Ask for details please.

I will endeavour to make your stay in Sri Lanka as memorable as possible, so if you have any special requests, or wish to visit Sri Lanka's cultural triangle (We are ideally located for day trips to the cultural triangle. Please ask for details.), I will be happy to assist and advise you in any way possible.

  • We are able to arrange tours for you at local and not tourist rates.

Shamila's Chalets Rentals & Charges

The chalets are rented by the week only (Minimum stay one week), the current weekly rental being $100 inclusive of all occupants and bills. Thereafter the cost is $14.28 per night. There are no single supplements and no hidden charges.

Whilst there are no cooking facilities on site we do provide free tea and coffee in the chalet and can provide breakfast and dinner if you dont wish to eat out.

  • Breakfast $2.50 per person dinner $5 per person from a set menu.
  • Children under 5 years eat free. Please ask for details.
  • There are also many takeaway restraunts close by serving anything from curry to pizza and the main tourist area of Lewis Place is just 7 / 8 minutes away containing a miriad of eating houses..
